At Premier Martial Arts, our vision is to build a community that helps people get in shape, stay safe, and develop the life skills and character of true martial artists.
Being physically strong is not enough—the mind matters, too. Our approach carefully blends traditional martial arts techniques with mental strength and resilience. We show you how to make the most of the human body.
A Physical Force to Be Reckoned With
Learning self-defense isn’t just about protecting yourself. It’s about transforming your body and mind into a powerful force and martial arts training offers the best of both worlds.
Every punch, kick, and defensive move strengthens your muscles, improves endurance, and sharpens reflexes. However, as you train, you’ll also build confidence, discipline, and resilience.
Through martial arts, you’ll develop real-world skills that keep you safe while improving your strength, agility, and overall fitness. The result? A body that’s ready for anything and a mindset that refuses to back down.
Why Consider Self-Defense Training?
In today’s world, knowing how to defend yourself can provide you with an empowering sense of security. You never know when you might find yourself walking alone at night or facing unexpected threats.
The bonus with self-defense training is that you’re also getting a physical workout. All too often we are forced to choose between getting fit and learning other essential skills, but martial arts offers both.
Investing in self-defense is not just about preparing for danger or unlawful acts—it’s about embracing strength, independence, and the ability to take control of your own well-being.
The Premier Martial Arts Approach to Self-Defense
Premier Martial Arts incorporates a combination of techniques found in Krav Maga, Kickboxing, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, submission grappling, and Kali, all of which provide students with a realistic personal protection and fitness system.
Here’s what you need to know about each of these martial arts styles.
Israeli Krav Maga
Krav Maga is a generic Hebrew word meaning “contact fighting.” The word, maga, means “contact” and the word, krav, means “battle” or “fight”.
In Krav Maga, there are no rules. Krav Maga is a self-defense and fighting system, not a sport. All the techniques focus on strategies and effectiveness in real-life situations. The goal of training is to neutralize attacks, counterattack for self-protection purposes, and escape as rapidly and safely as possible.
Though self-protection is the main goal of Krav Maga, the techniques, conditioning, and drills make it ideal fitness training too.
Kickboxing
Our Kickboxing curriculum teaches our students techniques used in all ranges of realistic stand-up fighting while getting them in the best shape of their lives.
Classes combine the punching techniques of Western boxing with the kicking, kneeing, and elbow strikes of Muay Thai kickboxing. You benefit from one of the world’s best striking systems while increasing your endurance at the same time.
Submission Grappling
If you’re ever taken to the ground, grappling techniques can help you get back up again and get away. You’ll learn throws, joint locks, and submission holds to better defend yourself while standing up at close range or when you’re on the ground.
Karate
Karate is an excellent choice for both self-defense and fitness as it combines powerful strikes, precise footwork, and disciplined techniques to build strength, speed, and confidence.
You can expect to learn effective blocking, striking, and counterattacks, along with techniques to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations. Training also enhances flexibility, endurance, and overall physical conditioning, making it a full-body workout.
Beyond the physical benefits, karate instills discipline, respect, and mental resilience.
Kali
The need for self-defense and weapons training is a reality. Whether faced with a potential threat, the art of Kali equips you with the skills and confidence needed to stay safe.
Defend and Get Fit
Combining these realistic and effective martial arts systems, you can better defend yourself in any situation while improving your physical fitness and mental strength. Whereas most martial arts classes primarily focus on one discipline, our mixed martial arts approach allows us to train more well-rounded students.
